At Bloom Orthodontics, our mission is to create healthy, confident smiles through individualized care that makes every patient feel seen, supported, and comfortable. We believe orthodontic treatment should be a positive experience at every age, which is why we focus on building genuine relationships with our patients and tailoring treatment to fit each person’s unique needs and lifestyle.

Meet Dr. Lauren Gerkowicz

Dr. Gerkowicz earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Northwestern University before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She then went on to complete her specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of Minnesota, where she received both her Master of Science degree (MS) and Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Gerkowicz achieved board-certification through the American Board of Orthodontics and is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association, reflecting her commitment to continued learning and excellence in patient care.

Dr. Gerkowicz is a native Floridian who grew up in Orlando and is happy to be back in her home state after training in several colder areas of the country. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, world traveling, attending concerts, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Gerkowicz is happily married to Dr. Sean Geary, a local endodontist, and they have two wonderful children who keep them busy when they are not in the office. Dr. Gerkowicz’s friendly, down-to-earth personality helps create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for from their very first visit. Additionally, as the daughter of Cuban and Polish immigrants, Dr. Gerkowicz is fluent in Spanish (and knows a couple words in Polish).

Dr. Lauren Gerkowicz believes orthodontic care should be personalized, comfortable, and empowering for every patient. She takes the time to understand each person’s goals and lifestyle, creating customized, evidenced-based treatment plans that support healthy function and confident smiles. Her warm, relationship-focused approach helps patients of all ages feel informed, supported, and excited throughout their smile journey. Dr. Gerkowicz has extensive training in using clear aligners to correct orthodontic issues, in addition to traditional braces.
